The footage of this video was shot in summer 2012, but sat dormant on my Mac until today. Beating the mid-west summer heat on the lake has proven to be a great thing. It’s also family time that I’m sure we will look back on as special and with lots of great memories. The Moomba comes out of storage next weekend and we’re ready for more chaotic fun in the sun!
When it’s not water ski, dirt bike or dog walking season, Sunday morning is for relaxing. That usually involves food in our house. Some freshly squeezed OJ, crepe, fruit salad and yogurt parfait sounds like the right way to start the day. I set up my GoPro in the kitchen and took still photos every 2 seconds. I then strung together a few thousand photos to make this 2 minute time lapse video of our Sunday morning. What you don’t see is the pork shoulder slow cooking on the grill. After 10 hours of smoking and a few beers to keep the cook happy, it turned out mouth wateringly good! Enjoy Sundays, where ever you are!
This video is a compilation of activities spread over the day. We enjoyed Melissa’s parents joining us in Peoria this year. Lots of gifts being exchanged. Toys were played with. Hair was curled and the Christmas bird was smoked on the Kamado Joe 🙂

After a very relaxing two weeks in Hawaii and another two at home culling through hundreds of digital photos, I finally have a blog to share. We are definitely going back. Soon. Enjoy!
